Agency: Brandbook LLC
Client: Computer Museum of America
Industry Position: CMoA owns many unique artifacts of the Apollo program on display during the Apollo anniversary years.
Assignment: Interpretive design. The Apollo program was replete with many technological firsts. Among them were the computers that made the missions possible—the Launch Vehicle computers that guided the Saturn V rockets, the Apollo Guidance computer, with its unique “DSKY” interface, and a separate “Abort” computer (happily, never used.) This exhibition, conceived and developed by BrandBook, uses the excitement of space travel to explain the key computing breakthroughs that made Apollo possible, and that jumpstarted the computer and internet age.
